I am a software engineer and a webmaster. Being a software engineer requires me to use multiple operating systems and many software suits. I regularly use Windows, Mac OS, IOS, Linux Android and ChromeOS. I would say that Microsoft certainly takes the lead here when it comes to productivity. Windows is still the best OS not only because of the easy GUI but also due to the best compatibility with professional tools and software kits.
Whether you are a designer, a web developer or a programmer or even a basic computer user, you can easily find all kinds of software you need for windows OS while for all other operating systems,
Even the best solutions need improvement over time,I think Microsoft needs to rapidly retire the direct billing for basic users and only charge for corporate sector services in order to compete with the competition they are facing as most of the competing products are free for basic users. Indirect revenue can be collected by advertisement just like the competition. At Least the Microsoft Windows OS and MS Office should be free for non commercial purposes.
MS products not only cost less than Mac but they are also better compatible with other software tools and applications. So if you are deciding between MS and Mac, I would suggest you go with MS eyes closed. You will thank me later. Apple has become greedy and after Steve passed away, their innovation left them. He was the sol mind behind Apple products. There was a time when Apple had a higher quality, now the only thing high with them is their price.
