Infolinks Scam or Not?

January 25, 2010 By: admin

I have been asked by my website visitors that weather Infolinks is a scam or not. Infolinks certainly is a fully legitimated in text advertising business. Many top notch webmasters use it in parallel with Google Adsense. If I review my experience with various PPC and in text advertisement programs, Infolinks certainly comes second to Adsense. These days, many people are shouting that their Adsense income is going down day by day. That is perhaps due to the massive competition and falling economies. If Infolinks is used along with Adsense, it will compensate the recent drops in Adsense earning and will surely increase your overall income.

There is not doubt that Adsense is famous for their friendly payment methods (Western Union) but Infolinks has also recently added Payoneer Card as another payment method which is a great move. They are giving tough competition to their competitors by such user friendly moves. I hope they keep moving this way and don’t ignore their member’s feedback. When I talk about their competition, I don’t mean Adsense, Adsense certainly is a much better program with a 3 to 4 times higher income than Infolinks. In fact, Business model of Infolinks also involved Google Adsense itself. They use Adsense as their backup source of income. Kontera is perhaps their first competitor but under my experience, Kontera is paying much less than Infolinks. Their income is nearly half of Infolinks but under some occasions it is better than Infolinks. I think the traffic source and traffic quality also counts while calculation of income.

While integrating their code on your website, you can exclude certain areas you don’t want to be affected by their automatic advertisement script. If you don’t want to see in text advertisement in a certain area of your website, you can simply exclude it by using their tags.

I have received negligible amount of scam reports about Infolinks which majorly includes account deactivation due to no reason. May be it is because of click fraud or something but now you can use public opinion section bellow to post your experience with Infolinks and can let our large visitors base know about your opinion.

They are fraud – no doubt. They never make payments. They cheat the publishers by saying something wrong with PayPal and or with the bankers. Read their blog post at “http://blog.infolinks.com/2010/02/09/payments-in-india-reversed-by-paypal/”

i have integrated the infolinks code in my website a week ago , but now i am very much confused, a lot many people say that they are fine and legit, but some people complain about them as scam, they infact say that after two to three months, their earnings started to go down with infolinks, while some of them say that they have not paid them, SO what is true????

Infolinks delivers totally fake clicks. I just did a study on it.

Infolinks is a SCAM for advertisiers (it maybe ok for publishers, but advertisers get scammed out of their money – over time they will figure this out and stop advertising).

In one part of the study, we advertised through infolinks a product with a good sell through rate from other advertising avenues. Infolinks charged for thousands of clicks, but the clicks resulted in 0% sales. I won’t go into the technical details, but the implication is of fake clicks.

Over the summer Infolinks was running a contest where they where going to send two people on an African Safari in Kenya. Rather than actually giving away the prize, they ended up deleting every reference to it on their website and Facebook page.

I can’t speak to how they treat their advertisers, but in my experience their behavior is sneaky and very unprofessional.

Infolinks is another abomination in the long list of abominates that secretly and systematically steals your money from you. I recently disabled Infolinks from all my sites and begged them to close my account while keeping the whole shebang I earned and shamelessly they did so!

It began when I started receiving relentless emails from them saying I need to declare my Taxation through Infolinks through W8-BEN. I do submit them from year to year and after sending them copies of my W8-BEN forms repeatedly all I got was SQUAT! No Reply! No reasonable answer! instead I get same email for going down the memory lane again and again following the same steps….

This time I thought they better shut me down for good! Since they are not financially or most importantly not a bit morally backed up, they did the same without shame! So, The dime and time I lost don’t matter they proved themselves shamelessly to be ignorant and money laundering leeches!

STAY AWAY FROM INFOLINKS !!!
