This Vworker review is written from a freelancer’s point of view. If you are interested in joining Vworker as a freelancer then it is a must read thing. I am pretty sure that after reading this review, you will come to a decision and you won’t need to surf more Google pages to clear your doubts about Vworker. This review will cover each and every important aspect of Vworker and you will see both sides of the picture.
Before going into details, let me inform you that I myself am a freelancer as well as a webmaster from almost a decade now so not many people can guide you as better as I can. I have been working on Vwoker since it was called rentacoder.com. I don’t know the main reason behind the name change but what I can assure you is that it is not a Scam or fraud business. It is a serious website for freelancers who want to work online and earn their livelihood respectfully. In the website name, V stands for Virtual, so the website is for Virtual Workers.
Who Founded Vworker?
Vworker is founded by Ian Ippolito, an innovative and professional businessman or should I say a genius. He is one of those very few businessmen I personally like. He has communicated with me via comments section of some of my blogs a few times. Ian seems to spend a lot of time on surfing blogs and forums to keep an eye on his business repute and that is the reason due to which he keeps updating Vworker in accordance with the demands of freelancers and employers. This is a plus point that goes to Vworker, I don’t think many CEO’s spend their time in solving the complaints of their website visitors like Ian Ippolito. If you have an unsolved problem with Vworker staff then you should try to contact Ian, I am pretty sure you will have your problem resolved.
Why Do You See Some False Scam Reports About Vworker in Search Results:
Remember! Vworker is a market place for freelance work. People hire people to get their work done which means a small portion of people may not be honest on both sides. So if a freelance worker scams a buyer or if a buyer scams a freelancer, people mistake it as Vworker’s fault. I think such situations can be avoided by sticking to the guidelines provided by Vworker. Don’t give payments or final deliverables before verifying that your contract is complete. Some people out there don’t take Vworker guidelines seriously and after getting ripped off, they blame Vworker which is obviously a wrong thing. Vworker itself is not a Scam but some people on Vworker may be; which is a different thing.
Using Vworker To Get Projects:
Vworker is totally free to join. After joining, you will be able to browse through different projects. For your convenience, projects are properly categories and a search function is also available which enables you to find projects easily. Main categories are Data entry, Virtual Assistant, Web research, Sales and marketing, Artwork, Graphic design, Adobe Photoshop, Logo design, Illustration and an Other Category for Graphic Designs. Just select the category you are interested in and Once you find a project that falls into your expertise, you are ready to bid.
Click here to Join Vworker & Earn Money by Doing Online Projects
How to decide the bid amount:
Before placing a bid on a project, put yourself in service buyer’s shoes. Try to evaluate the work value while keeping in mind the average market rate of that work. Then evaluate the work from coder /work point of view. Estimate the actual time you will need to spend on that project and multiply it with your hourly rate. Stay realistic and don’t place too high bids, under my experience, most of the chosen bids are near the middle of the budget range. Don’t place too high bids unless you are one of the top rankers on Vworker.
Vworker Project Fee:
Vworker fee lies between 6.5% to 15% of Total Project Amount. But the good part is, this fee is added to the total project amount instead of being deducted. For instance, if you place a bid of $200 on a project and Vworker fee is 15% for that project, Vworker will charge the service buyer $230 and you will get your full $200 after project completion. Other than Project amount, service buyer can also give a project bonus. Vworker charges 7.5% to 10% as a fee on bonus amount.
Vworker Affiliates Program:
Vworker also offers a very attractive affiliate program with a true potential. I will again admit that Ian Ippolito is a genius. He really knows how to hit the competition hard and has offered a very attractive affiliate program with life time residual income to attract serious affiliates. I will say his affiliate program is good enough to break the affiliate chain of other competitors. I am pretty sure many serious affiliates of his competition has already switched the side and joined him (Including me;) ). I think my previous article which I wrote on another blog of mine also played a role in his decision as I have criticized his previous affiliate system in that post and he had replied me as well.
Vworker’s affiliate program gives more when you invest more time into it. As your earning grows, commission increases. There are 3 slabs for their affiliate commission. First slab is called Standard Affiliate and has 5% commission for a worker and 20% commission for employer. If your affiliate earning crosses $1000 then you will fall into second slab called Super Affiliate. In this slab you will get 7% commission for worker and 25% commission for employers. Finally as your earning crosses $10,000, you will fall into Ultra affiliate slab where you will get 10% commission for workers and 30% commission for employers.
If you look closely, this affiliate program encourages serious affiliates to aggressively promote Vworker. Resultantly Vworker is likely to be way ahead of their competitors in near future unless they do something better. The reason why I am telling you about their affiliate program is because you can earn extra income by referring Vworker to your other freelancer friends and if they join it from your affiliate link, you will get a commission from whatever they earn in their life time. Isn’t that attractive?
Vworker Payment Methods:
Vworker offers 4 payment methods. Snail Mail check, Western Unions, Payoneer Debit Card and Paypal. I prefer Western Union in case I need quick money, or Payoneer in case i need to use money online or to withdraw it from ATMs. Paypal is not available in all countries otherwise it’s a good choice as well for small payments.

It is really a good idea to verify legitimacy of an online website before joining it. If you are planning to join Vworker then let me tell you that Vworker is definitely not a scam. It is actually Rentacoder; Exhedra recently renamed Rentacoder into Vworker. A plenty of other similar freelancing websites exist out there but if you are an individual then I think Vworker is best for you. Projects on Vworker are targeting individual users therefore you can easily get yourself a project but that doesn’t mean that companies don’t post projects on Vworker. When comparing with alternative freelance websites like Elance, Freelancer, Guru, Scriptlance and Odesk, Vworker gives you relatively easy start with less competing bids. If you are interested in companies only then personally I will recommend Elance over Vworker as Elance is much more into corporate sector. Please note that Freelancer is also a legit website, it is renamed from Getafreelancer which was definitely not a scam.
When it comes to policies, I see that Vworker gives a lot of benefits to the buyers and is a little less friendly for the freelance workers. For example project posting is free and no fees are charged from project owners, all the fees are deducted from the final bid amount which means freelance worker is paying all Vworker fees. Personally I think they should have balanced the load on both buyers and sellers.
They have introduced features like issuing bonus to the service providers which started a good trend in the freelance world and is good news for service providers. They have introduced another feature called Expert Guarantee which is a good step towards quality assurance. Expert Guarantee also helps to prevent project posters from being ripped off from various scam freelancers out there. Vworker people seem to do a lot of experiments in order to improve their quality.
Vworker vs Freelancer:
When comparing Vworker to Freelancer, the Vworker wins hands down. I have used Freelancer and Vworker both. Both of them had their old names at that time, I would say if you are going to adopt freelancing as your primary source of income, go for Vworker without any doubt.
Click here to Join Vworker & Earn Money by Doing Online Projects

Vworker is much more reliable when you want continuous flow of projects and income. I have earned literary thousands of dollars from Vworker myself so there is absolutely no doubt about it.

Vworker Payment Methods: For payment withdrawals, Vworker supports Paypal, Western Union, Payoneer and Snail Mail among them Paypal and Western Union are more popular. Vworker also offers an affiliate system using which anyone can earn a commission. If you refer someone to Vworker, you will be entitled to receive 33.3 percent of the first project fees the Vworker will earn from that person. The competitors or Vworker also offer same kind of affiliate systems but I think some of them are not limited to the commission on first project only. If you want to join other websites like Vworker then Elance, Freelancer, Scriptlance, Guru and Odesk are probably good choices for you.
You may find some people saying Vworker is a scam and that they have lost their money without getting the project done. Similarly you may find some freelance workers saying they have done the work but they are not paid so vworker is a scam, it is not true. Vworker website is just like a middle man who connects freelance workers with those people who wish to get their work done. So if a project poster has done some fraud with a freelance worker or if a freelance worker has done some fraud with a project poster then it doesn’t mean we should blame Vworker for this. Vworker is definitely not a scam and if we follow their guidelines, it is very unlikely to be ripped off. Vworker is owned by a fully legitimated company called Exhedra solutions Inc. Exhedra’s headquarter is located in Tampa, Florida. They also have branches in San Francisco and Pittsburgh.

First of all, keep in mind that Beezid is not a website like Ebay. If you think so or you are going to use it just like Ebay then you are wrong. You will be very disappointed. Beezid is probably not a scam but it is an extra ordinary business plan made by some real genius person. Basically to start using Beezid, you will need to purchase bids which are priced depending upon the bid pack you are purchasing and are usually less than $1.00 per bid. Brand new items are up on their website for auction and people can buy those items on much lower prices when compared to the original prices. They offer different types of auctions however the most used auction types are Standard and Reveal auctions.

In a standard auction, bidding starts at $0.00. Every time some one bids on the item, the bid price is raised by one penny $0.01 however Beezid website charges some where between $0.40 – $1.00 for every bid you place depending upon the amount of bid. This way Beezid people make a lot of money for each item placed.

For example, if a Laptop is placed on auction and its original price is $1700 whereas its current bid is at $170, they have already made around $16000 from that item considering average bid around $0.80. This ways you can get the idea of how much Beezid website is earning. Considering so much earning, I think they have no reason to be dishonest, fraudulent or scam.

People are happy with the site and so are the Beezid owners. Every one is spending money by his/her own understanding therefore Beezid should not be considered as a scam website. They seem to be legit however you should realize that if you have won a $900 laptop for $250 but you spent $500 in bids then your total spent amount equals to $750. It probably is still a good deal but not as good as it seems to be.

I don’t consider Beezid a scam but I think it is comparable to a gambling website as there is a great similarity. You are paying for an item in hope to win it and in the end you may or may not win it. Isn’t it similar to a slot machine or should I say a fancy slot machine? We cannot call it a scam in any way because they are telling you that you will have to purchase bid packs and they also tell you about bid packs cost. They have told you how it works and there is nothing hidden if you search for it. But I am also wondering if we should call it legit as well? It seems to be a gambling business in disguise of a bidding website. I really doubt that a serious person who really want to purchase an item will consider Beezid over Ebay or other serious auction websites.

Talking about legitimacy of their hosting business, Just host is definitely not scam. Just host has provided their UK, US and Australa office addresses on their website which should eliminate most of the chances that they are a scam. However, I have received several complaints about Just host suspending the hosting account of their web hosting client due to excess of server usage and the surprising factor in most of the complaints is Just Host suspending your account after reaching somewhere between 300 to 500 unique visitors per day only. I don’t want to prove them scam but instead I want to show the public opinion and reports about them and then I will let you decide whether Just host is a scam or not. I didn’t expect website suspension at such a low unique visitor volume. I do understand that being realistic, there is no such thing as unlimited disk space and unlimited monthly bandwidth but a famous company like Just host should at least bear 1200 to 1500 unique visitors per day before suspending a hosting account.
If I see my previous record with Host monster web hosting or host Gator web hosting, I have only received one warning from host monster for one of my websites which reached 3500 unique visitors per day in average and even then I am still hosting it with host monster after doing some tweaks like caching up dynamic pages. Similarly I have a website hosted with host gator which successfully gone through a traffic spike of 12000 unique visitors per day and didn’t went down or got suspended.
Although Just host is right now offering a promotional price of $3.45 but their original rate is still 6.95 which is even more than some of their bigger competitors. In such rate, one do expect better or at least equal quality comparing to their competitor slab
Second Scam factor going against Just Host is their misleading marketing policy. It is reported to us that they have been involved in leading or supporting TOP Hosting Listing website sites, most of those sites list Just host as the Top hosting provider which should only be stated with proper statistical information or prove. Otherwise it is unethical and unprofessional to list a company as top hosting provider. If they really are involved within such a marketing campaign which is yet unsure then it is not good for their repute in the long run.
In the end I will say that even though I have received Scam reports about Just host, I will still say that one should take a look at the comments section bellow for public opinion posted for Just host. That’s because is also possible that the scam reports submitted to my email are part of some marketing campaign against Just host though some of those reports definitely seem to be original. Secondly if you have some good or bad experience with Just host them I will request you to post your experience with Just host in the comments section bellow to guide other visitors reaching this page for the sake of collecting information for Just host prior to purchasing Just host hosting plans.

Clixsense is just one more pay per view program out there who offers you a payout of up to $5 and $2 bonus for every registration your refer. I have received various scam reports via emails regarding Clixsense. According to those reports, either clicksense bans the user account once it reaches minimum payout or the payment it too low. They actual reports indicate that the actual payment allotment is between .001$ to .1$ so even if some one is paid, it will take ages to reach the payout limit. Assuming Clixsense is not a scam, I would think what benefit an advertiser will take by driving traffic to his website using Clixsense since the visitors are only interested in earning money rather than the website contents they are viewing. The only advantage I see is a growth in traffic rank of the website in traffic estimators like Alexa or Compete. I don’t think that advertisers will be much willing to pay for an artificial and temporary growth in their traffic. That makes me think that the Clixsense may not be able to pay their registered viewers anywhere near even 1 cent. However please note that I am not putting a scam stamp on Clixsense, I am only saying that the probability of Clixsense being a scam is too high. If you are a clixsense user and had some good or bad experience with Clixsense then please post it in the public reviews and opinions area.

If you are thinking to purchase a hosting plan from WebTHositng, Think again. Never ever go for WebTHosting. Not only they ripped my US$59.40 money, but in addition to that, they were calling me names. The word “Support” is absolutely not suitable for WebTHosting Support. I have been scammed on internet by various companies but WebTHosting comes first on my list as they have not only ripped me off but in addition to that they insulted me. Here is the complete story of what they have done to me.
I am a webmaster and I used to purchase web hosting services from many companies in order to host my various websites. One day I was in need of another web hosting company so I searched on Google and perhaps due to my bad luck, I encountered a website called WebTHosting.com. I have gone through their website and apparently every thing looked professional. In addition to that, I was inspired by their money back guarantee as well. Therefore I decided to purchase WebThosting. I purchased their Photon Pro Package and paid them via Paypal. After some time, I checked my mail box and seen A welcome email and a payment confirmation email however the main email with account configuration was not present their. I waited for some time but after that I opened a support ticket on their website mentioning that I haven’t received the main account configuration email and that I need this information email in order to setup my domain on WebTHosting server. They didn’t reply me until the next day when they replied with the message “Wait for 24hrs”. I am a webmaster and I have purchased web hosting services from various companies; none of them took so much time so I was concerned and I replied them that it is already more than 24 hours and requested them to send me the email as soon as possible. Guess their reply? Here it is, “Stop Lying. Your account is generated and email is already sent”. You can sure imagine how friendly and talented WebTHosting support team is?
I was very surprised by their unprofessional and disrespectable reply and especially with their claim that they have already sent me the email containing account configuration information. I immediately logged into my email address and there was still no email from them regarding account configuration. I opened their previous email and grabbed the account credentials to log into their web interface. I went into the email section and no account configuration email was present there, only the previous emails they sent me were listed there.
To convince WebTHosting team, I took a screen shot of my gmail inbox and sent it to them explaining that I haven’t received any email still. This time WebTHosting support team’s reply was even worse, they called me names and replies in such words that I can’t even write them here. They were blaming me that I cant see the email.
WebTHosting sure is a scam as I paid them 59.40 US Dollars and they haven’t provided me any hosting service yet they call me names, it was too much. It was worst support experience I ever had in my life. I opened a dispute in Paypal as I didn’t receive the hosting services in exchange of my money. After 10 hours, they added an email in the email section on their web interface in backdates and called me a liar on Paypal as well as in their email. In addition to that, they generated a $50 administration fee invoice for me to pay as I opened the dispute.
When I saw an email in previous dates in their web interface, I was shocked and it was enough to shake my trust on WebTHosting. A webhosting company which can add an email in past dates can do much more frauds with me in future so I decided to have a refund. I replied to WebTHosting support ticket that they are faking it all and that I am an eye witness of the absence of the email and that I no longer have trust on WebTHosting and they should refund my money.
In response, WebTHosting support team said that I have somehow violated their terms and conditions and I don’t deserve any refund. Next day, they disabled my account (Web Interface) and posted on Paypal dispute resolution center that they have delivered the service but the buyer has violated their terms and conditions therefore they are deleting my hosting account.
On Paypal end, they closed the case and issued the refund to WebTHosting without mentioning a single reason. I was surprised by this action no Paypal end. However I see WebTHosting solely responsible for this act, they took my $59.40 and didn’t give me a single day webhosting service plus they hosting support team called me names just for posting a query for the absence of account configuration email. Isn’t that the worst Hosting experience or should I say Scam experience ever?
Summery: Stay away from WebTHosting. It is like you are throwing away your money, plus it will encourage them and will cause more people to be scammed by WebThosting. Let everyone know about true face of WebTHosting so that such scammers cannot rip of more people on internet.

Update: (August 7, 2010) The sender of this scam report informed us that Webthosting owner has refunded his money nearly after 7 months so I guess it is never too late to understand the importance of customer support. Let us hope they have learned from this mistake.

It is possible that some day you receive an email from your bank or trusted company asking you to verify your information. It may look real because it is usually designed to fool you into handing over your important account or personal information. This type of scam is called Phishing. Most of us have to deal with online businesses in order to buy or sell various items. To conduct these transactions, we have to deal with sensitive information; there is nothing wrong with it as long as you work with the reputable and well established organizations. However some times what you see is not actually what it should be. Sometimes criminals disguise themselves like those reputable organizations and fool you into thinking that you are dealing with your trusted organization but actually you are dealing with the scammers. They do so in order to collect your important information like passwords, pin numbers and account numbers. You should be aware of such scams before you fall a victim to them.
Here is an example:
You receive an email message from your trusted bank. They want you to click on a link in the email and verify your account information there. You are fooled into thinking that this email is legit and you click on the link and see a login area which looks like similar to the login area of your bank. Once you login there, you have done yourself a big harm. The login information you just entered is actually sent to a criminals who will use it for whatever purpose they want including but not limited to withdrawal of you funds or transfer of your funds into your account and using your account for spamming.
Usually such phishing emails are identifiable only If you give a little attention to the email. Mostly such emails include a message to scare you like “Your account has been accessed illegally!” or “Your account is locked, please verify your account info” etc. They usually insist you to click on a link as well. Don’t click on links within your emails especially when they look suspicious. Phishing emails may also include grammatical or spell mistakes. For example, they usually don’t know your name so they will use words like “Dear Valued Customer”, Dear Client, etc. Remember, Phishing emails usually have the same interface which your bank’s or organization has including logos and other areas. Don’t take an email easy which asks for your information. Usually financial organizations don’t need your passwords or pin numbers so contact your organization directly instead of clicking on a link inside the email in such cases. If you happen to receive such phishing email, don’t panic, it is harmless unless you click on the links inside, just delete it and you are safe. However, if you want to go a step ahead, you should report such phishing email on your concerned anti-phishing authorities or websites. If you have accidently entered your information using a link in such phishing email, immediately contact your original organization and let them know about what has happened. If you happen to do a lot of financial transaction then you may consider using anti-phishing software as well. Checking your Credit Reports, Balance Sheets and Account reports regularly will also help in avoiding such phishing scams. If you see any suspicious change in your financial documents, report it to the concerned authorities immediately. Remember, such scams are growing on internet day by day. You need to stay informed about such scams in order to protect yourself.

Hello, my name is Terry, I am writing here my experience with paypal for the people who are either considering to use paypal or just trying to find pros and cons of Paypal. If you are selling small items like less than $10 then Paypal is probably good for you because you are not going to be targeted by scammers that exploit the paypal system and credit card chargeback process. Now what I mean by this is if you are selling $100 or $200 items which are very desirable to people but are out or reach for them due to which they inclined to use credit cards then Paypal is probably not the best service for you because they offer absolutely no protection. For instance, I recently sold a Macintosh amplifier to a gentleman, 3 states away from me. That Gentle man bid on my item, he used buy it now, he paid properly with paypal, when the amplifier was shipped to him, I got emails from him, exclaiming how happy he was with the amplifier and how excited he was to hook it up with his speakers. He informed me that he has to call Macintosh to see how he probably hook up the amplifier since it was 20 to 25 years old and I have no literature to explain how to hook it up. He did have some cosmetic issues noted in the auction. The item which I bought for $3000, I sold him for $1200 with denoted cosmetic issues. He sent me an email exclaiming how happy he was for the paint job which he gave to the amplifier and how it beautiful it turned out. He said, he used high quality spray paint and he has done it numerous times and he considered it and expert paint job. Well, he hooked up the speakers with Macintosh recommendations and he decided that he doesn’t like the amplifier. Not that because it was bad, not because it was damaged in shipping, not for any other reason, but just because he doesn’t like it he wanted me to offer him a refund. I said no, I am not going to offer you a refund because I am concerned about you painting it. He said, I did a quality job, you should be able to sell it for more money now. I offered him that why don’t you sell and you keep the money as because I don’t want to take a risk because first, you are going to send back it to me via shipping and secondly I think your paint job is not up to my standards. After I explained this to him, He probably went to his credit card company and he did a chargeback. Paypal held the funds in my account which was $1200 and they contacted me about it and sent them emails from the client explaining that he painted the amplifier and said that I have no obligation for this customer to refund because he painted my amplifier. Apparently, Paypal agreed with me and decided with me and the funds were returned to me. So I won that paypal dispute ultimately, it was reversed, after I have already won, the dispute process just reversed. Customer got all the money back by chargeback and he got to keep the amplifier. Now during a proper chargeback, payment is not refunded until the sold goods are not shipped to the seller. Not like this customer who did a chargeback while sitting in his living room and he never sent my amplifier back to me. Well after contacting law enforcement in his city, he finally did send it back but not to me, he sent it to Paypal. Then I got emails from Paypal that I have to refund then $1200 to get my amplifier back and I also got phone calls from paypal collection office that I owe then $1200. What the hell? I don’t owe any body a penny. Paypal collection office said that I agreed to it in their user agreement, which means I agreed to some body buy my items and then paint them and then see that he don’t like them and then they don’t like them and then I have to refund their money and they keep the amplifier as well!!! Further more, the Paypal gets my own item and they claim it their’s and then further more they want me to buy it back!! Buy my own amplifier back. I don’t see any other reason other than Paypal being big brother. Now I have to attend the phone call from Paypal collection office every day 3 to 4 times a day. Paypal offers no protection for sellers.
For example, I have an American Express card and I have to buy three laptops for my kids, all I have to do is to find 3 laptops with Paypal sellers and then use my American Express card to by them. Next what? American Express lets me do 3 Chargebacks a year without no question asked. All I have to say is that I didn’t get the laptops and guess what, I get my money back. Paypal is the enemy here, I paid hundreds of dollars to paypal in the shape of their fees, to have them rob me like this!! To have them get a hold of my account, to have them take my funds which are not legally theirs. Paypal is not a bank, they are private entity, not a bank, You and your funds are not protected at all, you are on their mercy. Paypal is a horrible company. Paypal is a Scam and fraud. Please use your judgment when you decide to typing your little bank account numbers, When you decide to sell your $2000 guitar or your $1000 Dell laptop or whatever other widget you are dealing, just remember that all the customer has to say is they didn’t get it, they don’t like it and they get all their money back plus they can keep the item. Paypal Sucks!

Moneybookers seems to be a legitimated payment processing system which can be used to send or accept payments online. Moneybookers is not a scam, I have been using it since 3 years and I am fully satisfied with it. In fact, I prefer it over Paypal due to several factors. However, their verification system is a little more complicated which sometimes becomes annoying but other than that they are better than almost all money wallets out there.
Moneybookers support many such countries which paypal don’t support so MB is getting popular very quickly. Ebay which is a very reputable website now has added Moneybookers as a payment transfer method as well. Dynadot is a domain registrar which accepts moneybookers as well and many good hosting companies also accept it so it is a good deal for webmasters as well.
Currently it is not possible to transfer payment between Paypal and Moneybookers however it will be a good thing if they enable cross wallet transactions. Moneybookers right now doesn’t seem to have a good charge back feature so you should verify that the buyer is not a scam before you pay using moneybookers, since you won’t be able to get your money back once paid.
I have only received one scam report about moneybookers which is as follows:
“Dear notscam Admin, I am a web developer. A few days ago, Moneybookers locked my account and they told me to prove my identity by sending them my passport, driving license or national identity card. I sent them the documents but my account is still locked. I have almost $620 in my account and now my money is lost. I gathered that money after doing many freelance jobs and they took it like a piece of cake. Since I am not getting my money back, I want to let everybody know what they have done to me.”

Since this is the only scam report I have received for moneybookers so far, I assume that the person who sent me this message might have some identification error in his documents or his account details which might have flagged his account causing him to lose to money. I personally think he can recover the money by properly contacting moneybookers support or by personally visiting their office. Please feel free to post your experience with moneybookers in the public opinion section bellow.
